Receive professional feedback on your opening page from Sheila Fernley, Associate Literary Agent at Storm Literary Agency. Your first page is often your only chance to capture an agent's, editor's, or publisher's attention. This critique session is designed to help you strengthen your opening, sharpen your voice, and increase your manuscript's chances of standing out.

Participants will receive a live 4-minute critique of their first page, along with actionable suggestions to improve their manuscript before submitting to Linda, Sheila, and the five participating women-owned publishers taking part in Girl Power Hour.

Submission Guidelines

• Include your Name, Manuscript Title, and Category (PB or MG) at the top of the page.

• Manuscripts must be formatted so they are easily readable in either picture book or novel format.

• Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced.

• Submissions cannot exceed one page.
