This year’s Girl Power Hour will take place over two days- October 7th and 8th, in honor of International Day of the Girl. Come celebrate strong women and diversity in kidlit with industry experts.

The conference will kick off at 6pm (Eastern) on October 7th and run until 9pm.
Then we meet on day two, October 8th, starting at 6pm (Eastern) until 9pm.

Enjoy live, practical presentations by kidlit experts to guide you on both craft and the business of kidlit, with an opportunity for Q&A in every session!

-October 7th from 9-10pm (Eastern) First Pages Critique with Senior Agent, Linda Camacho of Gallt & Zacker Literary.

-October 8th from 5-6pm (Eastern) First Pages with Associate Agent Sheila Fernley of Storm Literary. All are welcome to watch. To have your work critiqued- there is an extra fee (Add-On) see the full menu.

-OPEN SUBMISSIONS TO FIVE WOMEN-OWNED PUBLISHING HOUSE AS WELL AS OPEN SUBMISSIONS TO AGENTS LINDA CAMACHO & SHEILA FERNLEY.

-All registrants will be entered into raffles throughout the day for chances to win prizes from our presenters including mentor sessions and signed books!

-Registrants will be given access to recordings of all presentations to be accessed through December 2026 for later viewing.
